FM (Frequency Modulation) – 1. Frequency modulation is used in analog broadcasting in the ultra-short-wave range (VHF).
2. Designation of the VHF broadcasting range with frequencies from 65 to 108 MHz. It contains two subbands: OIRT / FM I (frequencies from 65 to 72 MHz) and CCIR / FM II (frequencies from 87.5 to 108 MHz). The first of them is traditionally called “eastern”, the second – “western”.
